Glitz and Glam and Giant Crosses

Also from BoingBoing: The Pope John Paul II waving to us from the grave. I laughed out loud. I will say that, despite his religious and political beliefs, I really dug JP2. The glitz and glamour of it all really appeals to me. I like him for the same reason I really enjoy Liberace and the various royal families from around the world: velvet, diamonds, large and gaudy jewels, crowns, tiaras, elbow-elbow-wrist-wrist waves, charm, grace, fabulous jet-setting lifestyles, pleasant demeanor. Perhaps I should be the Pope or the queen for Halloween next year...
