Japanese-Brazilians in Japan

I went to Koshikijima, the island just off the western coast of Kagoshima. There was a lake right next to the ocean, separated only by a thin, stony beach. This is the lake. These old ladies are cleaning their shellfish (I forgot which kind) that they harvested. The island was fish, fish, and more fish. Pretty tasty, but I'm still okay with not having fish again for a while even though that was two weeks ago.
