Commodore Perry's American Crew

These guys got to get dressed up as Commodore Perry's American crew and participate in a reenactment of the signing of the treaty opening Japan to the West. The guy in the middle did a great job of staying in character during the reenactment, but I thought his buddies should have acted a little tougher and more military-like for it. The girl is also American.
We spent a Saturday down in Shimada in the Izu Peninsula at the Black Ship Festival back in May. The next day we went to see sumo in Tokyo.
